The overall purpose of this programme is to support participants as leaders to drive current digital and cultural (Purpose, Values & Mindset) transformation. This transformation will help the organisation respond to the current operating challenges/opportunities and prepare for future growth. But transformation is not just about technology – this is about people, talent, community, culture, leadership style, purpose, values and mindset. It is within this context that this programme has been designed specifically around those issues critical to participants – the Enterprise Leader - and Barclays now and into the future.
The programme is a 7-module virtual learning journey. Each module comprises 120 minutes – approximately 60 minutes were led by an Imperial Faculty Expert around a specific leadership and/or organisational theme. The subsequent 60 minutes were an opportunity for sub-groups (of approximately six or seven Enterprise Leaders) to reflect upon and experiment with new ways of thinking, doing and leading. Specifically, the programme provided participants with the expert input, time and space to:
•Reflect on the future of the international operating environment, financial services sector, the organisation and its talent
•Think about participants’ leadership style now and into the future
•Explore the beliefs and behaviours of emergent competitors and customers
•Understand future talent and their way of thinking, learning and doing
•Develop practical leadership tools and techniques to deliver genuine culture change
•Strengthen participants’ own Enterprise Leader community across business units, the organisation and the regions
